We continued our game-playing spree this month, making a lot of progress. We've nearly played through my entire collection, with the exceptions at this point consisting mainly of A) Japanese games, B) games that take longer than 2 hours, and C) expansions.

Thebes: The Tomb Raiders
Thunderstone Advance: Towers of Ruin with Thunderstone Advance: Root of Corruption cooperative Siege variant
Tides of Time
Trains: Rising Sun
Tricks & Deserts
Viticulture with Tuscany Mamas & Papas and Property expansion modules.

With honorable mentions for the following games, which we had to quit playing halfway through due to time constraints:
Fresco: Big Box with expansion modules 4, 5, and 6
Imperial Settlers with Imperial Settlers: Atlanteans and Why Can't We Be Friends?

Alea Iacta Est

Yay! Your dad can be my Pandemic buddy (though I don't own that expansion. I have failed Pandemic!). If they were staying longer, you should play Pandemic Legacy with them.

...we never played Ascension with the physical cards, did we? I've been playing it all month on iOS before going to bed, so I'm glad to hear Megory enjoyed it. I have a few of the expansion packs on my ipad and I play with them all, so I'm not sure which expansion added the Event cards, but I love those the best.

I thought about getting it at Christmas, so I could have it when they arrived. But then I would have to play the same game 12+ times, which would mean fewer other games getting played.

I don't think so. It's one of the games I got in the KublaCon math trade last summer. I only have the original base game, but I'd be open to trading for more expansions, since it's something that actually gets played.

One thing to keep in mind about Ascension before you invest in it is that the game can be very unbalanced. A couple of good draws/buys early on for one player can lead to a huge advantage and a skewed final score. But that may be because I almost always favor deck value over monster-slaying value.
