04:42 am: 2014 Kickstarter Game Update Week 7
Game I Viewed:
Kill Shakespeare
Status: 87% funded

In this semi-cooperative game, players are Shakespeare's heroes who must do battle against his villains. Players collaborate to defeat their enemies, but only one player can be the "true" winner. I think the theme is interesting, but I don't see the point of semi-cooperative games, and I'm a bit turned off by the fact that it's described as area control.

Honorable Mention:
Character Meeples
Status: Funded

This campaign by one of the largest online meeple vendors is offering meeples that have been painted to look like various characters.

How confusing it would be to have all your tokens be meeples.

Would it? What I'm wondering is: would you want character meeples to replace the agents, or just the rogues/fighters/etc? I think it would be kind of sad for the agents to be boring compared to the meeples.

Yes. Yes, it would.

Which characters would you choose to replace the agents? It's a pity they don't have Harpers, Red Sashes, Silverstars (*jazz hands*).

I think they would look different enough that it wouldn't be that confusing, but I guess I'd actually have to play a game that way to know for sure.

I wouldn't choose specific meeples to match the different factions, I would just let people choose whichever meeples they liked. (So if I were playing, the Red Sashes would be Yetis.)

...though if they made meeples for the factions and the Silverstars were all fancy and pretty, I would totally want them.
