One of the things that's been going on at work is that I started on my collateral duty as a member of the airport's health and safety team. So far I haven't actually done anything, I just received a tour of a couple of storerooms, but I expect I'll have more assignments soon enough. There hasn't been any word yet about the canine positions, though I expect it won't be much longer.
The other activity that's been taking up my time is finishing the Avatar afghan that I've been crocheting for wednesday_10_00. The instructions are from this page, though I used Bernat Berella "4" yarn rather than Red Heart. It took months to get the whole thing done, but I think it turned out rather well.
For my future plans, I have a couple of long weekends coming up in the next few months, so that will be nice. My parents will be visiting again, and I also got time in June reserved in the leave draw to attend my brother's wedding. It's looking to be a good year.
