03:20 pm: When it rains...
Last weekend, my family drove up to Minnesota for my cousin's wedding. The night we arrived, it was sporadically rainy, and we were able to see a full rainbow. The cool thing is that, depending on where one viewed it, it appeared to end right at a store called Rainbow Foods.

Last week was the final week of school for megory, so she is now officially retired. Since she has been using up her sick days since January, though, it won't be too much of a change.

This week a friend in the military is using his leave to visit us, so we're doing a lot of things with him. This mainly consists of catching up on a bunch of movies and TV shows.

My job hunt continues. So far the tally is...

Applications sent: 32
Rejections: 2
Interviews: 0

It's starting to feel like shouting into a void. Considering I have two master's degrees, 5+ years of teaching experience, computer literacy, and the ability to speak 2.5 languages, it's disheartening not to have gotten even a nibble yet. I guess it's just going to take more time.

Love the picture of the rainbow!

This is definitely a difficult time to be job hunting.

Whoever gets you, though, will be very lucky.

Yeah, I have a Ph.D. and I'm having trouble finding a job as well. It's disheartening.
