The great manga migration

The Eddie Izzard performance last Tuesday was really fun. His overall theme was religion and his take on God...which is, essentially, "if there is a God, it's all of us, so be nice to each other."

Friday I worked with megory to clean off a bunch of shelves in the basement so that I could move half my manga collection down there. I also went through my old stuff and picked out series that I didn't need to keep anymore.

Saturday I drove down to MediaWest. I arrived around noon and promptly met up with bentleywg. I hung out in the lounge for a while until wednesday_10_00 arrived, and then we wandered up and down the guest room halls, looking at (and sometimes playing with) the door decorations and occasionally stopping to pet kitties. We went out for lunch and a bit of shopping, returning to the con to see a few music videos. I wandered around some more and peeked in a few panels, but I didn't run into anyone else I knew.

When I got back home, wednesday_10_00 helped me reorganize my manga so that I could fit all my new stuff on the shelves. That was quite a large task. It had also been brought to my attention that she had never seen Due South, so we had to remedy that immediately.

Sunday we went over to my brother's house for a cookout. There was way more food than anyone could eat, three excited dogs, a field trip to do some putt putt golfing, and more Due South watching.

On Monday, megory helped me carry the downstairs half of my manga to the basement for arrangement on the shelves. I'm going to have to run a complete inventory check, because there are random volumes of things missing...for example, volume #31 out of a 60-volume series. I'm also probably going to have to clean my room (ugh), because it's likely that things have fallen into cracks and crevices in the closet or elsewhere.
