07:02 pm: The light at the end of the tunnel...
...or, more accurately, the clear space on the top of the table. So far I've done several loads of dishes, and I'm finally starting to see some table surface.

I ordered my plane ticket this weekend and I got my hotel reservations at the Sunshine Prince today. I'll be going to Tokyo on March 25th, where I'll stay until my plane leaves on March 28th.

I also bought a bunch of boxes to start packing stuff. I haven't actually started packing, of course...rather, the reverse. I seem to be buying more things. Notably, cookbooks. I mean...how could I possibly resist something like THIS? A book all about how to make Kansai-style okonomiyaki! There are also a few CDs and DVDs and such I want to be sure to buy before I leave. In addition, I need to get some converters for the electrical things I plan to take back.

I only wish it weren't cold. That makes me not want to go in my guest rooms...which is where all the stuff I need to pack is located. Ugh.

I'm sorry it's so cold. You probably couldn't put your space heater in the guest room while you worked in there, could you?

Wear your snuggly socks and a couple of layers of clothes and some gloves? I don't know how to cope with a place that's as cold inside as it is outside in the winter.
