10:54 am: Bean trial report
I've been putting quite a bit of time into writing up my results for this year's variety trial, and though it isn't finished yet (not all the beans have been harvested), I wanted to post what I have available so far. All yield measurements and some photos have yet to be taken, but the rest of the information should be there.

My favorite is "Flavor: beany."

But I do have a question about the Four Corners Gold. You say nice things about it in the individual assessment, but describe the flavor as "bland, tough." Why would you be raving about this bean? Is it better dry?

Is it better dry?

Yes, Four Corners Gold is intended to be eaten dry. The flavor of the pod doesn't have any bearing on that.

That made me laugh, too. XD

Were the snap beans we ate Dragon Tongue, or something else? They were amazing, whatever they were.

That was probably Dragon Tongue, because those were the ones I planted enough of to eat.
