06:25 am: Whither the wind blows
It has been quite gusty here for the past week or so. It was at its worst last week--the howling of the wind woke me up at around 2am Sunday night, it was so loud. My deck sustained some minor damage. It was windy again yesterday while I was trying to work out in the yard, which was mostly an annoyance as it blew my supplies around and got dust in my eyes.

As usual, I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I did start planting out some of my summer seedlings and began harvesting my spring turnips. I'm enjoying a few early strawberries. I'm particularly excited by the bearded irises I planted last fall, which are just now beginning to bloom.

Here's a picture of the spring flowers, including irises, poppies, and columbine in the far left. Also, a nice shot of a ripe strawberry.
