07:36 pm: Don't tell me the weekend's half over... ;_;
Thursday I took to work the Eggspert that megory gave me. My team teacher was determined to try it right away, so we set it up and used it in two classes. It was kind of hard to manage the cords, though after we hooked it up with two extension cords we could set it in the middle of the students' horseshoe seating arrangement and it would reach. At first it was hard to get the kids to quit pressing the buttons before we could ask any questions. After that, though, it worked fine.

I also took in the five boxes of assorted chocolates I had brought as souvenirs (again courtesy of megory). By the end of the day on Friday, I only had about a half dozen pieces left.

Friday afternoon, we had the interview for the exchange student to Michigan for the next school year. There was one applicant, and she did extremely well. She isn't afraid of speaking at all, and her pronunciation is very good. (She's also a big Harry Potter fan.)

Today I got up in the morning and sat in front of the computer to play...and now, suddenly, it's nearly 8pm. How did that happen?

I'm glad you tried the Eggspert. I had never personally used it, but heard a teacher rave about it as she bought her second one. I'm glad it eventually worked out okay. I'm sure there is a learning curve.

They probably found the chocolate a bit too sweet for them. It would never have lasted that long around here!

Your students seem so well prepared for their exchange experience. I wish we were better at welcoming the exchange students on this end. One of our exchange students left at the new semester because she said no one ever spoke with her. I know we invited her to the Saturday party for exchange students and offered her a ride, but she didn't come. I was sorry to hear how lonely she must have felt.

In one of my classes, the grammar point we were reviewing was how to say that one thing is X times as much as another. My team teacher used the example sentence, "American chocolate is three times as sweet as Japanese chocolate..." <g>

The students really seemed to like it, though.

Speaking of chocolate, the new spring KitKat flavor (sakura) has come out...
